MFT-Interns & MFT-Trainees

Hearts & Hands Counseling is a 501C non-profit counseling and training facility dedicated to increasing community access to affordable and high quality therapy. Hearts & Hands Counseling is always seeking qualified MFT-Interns & MFT-Trainees  in the Sacramento/Roseville area who are interested in opening their own practice in the future. In addition to honing your therapeutic skills, trainees and interns will also gain experience with calendaring, scheduling/re-scheduling, collecting fees, monthly accounting, and coordinating offices with other interns/trainees.

At Hearts & Hands interns and trainees will manage a diverse caseload including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. We offer a fully stocked play room with board games, coloring supplies, and sand tray. We offer a supporting environment with both group and individual supervision.

Requirements

All candidates must be enrolled in a masters degree MFT program or have a Board of Behavioral Sciences intern registration number. Candidates are requested to work at least one evening or weekend. Group supervision is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-12:50 and all candidates must be able to attend at least one group per week. Candidates must also be able to provide therapy to a diverse range of clients.
