Trainees and Associates

Hearts & Hands Counseling is a 501C non-profit counseling center and training facility dedicated to increasing community access to affordable and high quality therapy. Hearts & Hands Counseling has a limited number of positions for qualified Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees and Associates, as well as Professional Clinical Counselor Trainees and Associates. The training provided here is geared toward those who are interested in opening their own practice in the future. In addition to honing your therapeutic skills, trainees and associates will also gain experience with calendaring, scheduling/re-scheduling, collecting fees, monthly accounting, and coordinating offices with other associates/trainees.

At Hearts & Hands associates and trainees will manage a diverse caseload including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. We offer a fully stocked play room with board games, coloring supplies, and sand tray. We offer a supportive environment with both group and individual supervision.

Requirements

All candidates must be enrolled in a masters degree MFT program or have a Board of Behavioral Sciences associates registration number. Candidates are requested to work at least one evening or weekend. Group supervision is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-12:50 and all candidates must be able to attend at least one group per week. Candidates must also be able to provide therapy to a diverse range of clients.
