Julia DasenJulia graduated with her BA in Psychology from UCLA and is currently attending Alliant International University for her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her holistic approach to therapy incorporates the principles of the humanistic perspective, attachment, existentialism and psychodynamic theory. She is also trained in Level 1 Brainspotting and finds that utilizing this technique in sessions can be beneficial for clients wanting to engage in deeper level trauma processing.
In her therapeutic work, Julia aims to help her clients uncover all the light, purpose and truth that remains dormant within. She believes that amidst the chaos of this human experience, the most transformational growth occurs when you are able to find comfort and solace in the compassionate understanding of another. This guiding philosophy is why establishing a therapeutic alliance built on empathy, curiosity and authentic human connection is so essential to this sacred work. Because it is here through healing wounds and mending brokenness, that you can rediscover your inner knowing, create aligned relationships with others and connect to your highest version of self. Although she has had the privilege of bearing witness to many stories defined by the overcoming of immense struggle and adversity, she has found her work supporting those looking to explore identity, LGBTQ+ individuals and anyone struggling with anxiety and depression surrounding chronic illness, chronic pain and medical trauma to be especially fulfilling. Among many cherished identities and creative endeavors, Julia is also an avid film photographer, amateur poet, champion napper and a forensic psychologist and FBI agent hopeful turned intuitive helper and healer. With this in mind, she is ready to help guide you on your journey of coming home to self. Here, you are seen, you are heard, you are loved. |
