Karissa HernandezKarissa is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee passionate about supporting individuals and families through counseling. She earned her bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Sacramento State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Grand Canyon University.
Karissa is committed to creating a safe, empathetic, compassionate space for her clients. She takes a person-centered approach, helping individuals identify and build on their strengths to foster self-empowerment. She collaborates with clients to develop and apply coping skills while providing practical tools and strategies to navigate their symptoms effectively. Karissa is particularly passionate about working with individuals experiencing eating disorders, as well as supporting children in their therapeutic journey. Outside of therapy, Karissa enjoys indoor cycling, exploring new coffee shops, and spending quality time with her beloved doodles, Billie and Brodie. |
