Sierra recently received her Master’s of Arts in Counseling from National University.
Sierra is passionate about helping people who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, tough life transitions, or maneuvering life’s many difficulties. Her goal is to incorporate solution-focused and person-centered therapy to best serve others by allowing them to take an active role in their treatment. She believes in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals feel safe to explore their struggles in order to grow and heal. She strives to meet clients where they are to give support, teach coping skills, boundaries and self-acceptance.
Sierra is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a trauma resolution technique. Learn more about EMDR here: https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/
Sierra enjoys working with children in the classroom, where she has worked as an educator the last six years. When not working she thrives outdoors: running, hiking, camping and backpacking.
