Hearts and Hands Counseling offers practicum and internship opportunities for Master’s-level counseling and therapy students. Our program is designed to provide meaningful clinical experience, close supervision, and a supportive, trauma-informed environment as you develop your professional identity.
Who We’re Looking For
This internship is for counseling and therapy students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s program and are in their practicum or internship phase. Ideal candidates are committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care, interested in working with diverse community members, and ready to grow through feedback, reflection, and supervision.
Time Commitment & Availability
-Be available for in-person sessions at least 2 days per week, including one weekend day and one evening
-Provide approximately 10 direct client contact hours per week
-Attend 2 community events per year as part of supporting our outreach and services
-Participate in regular supervision to support your clinical work and professional growth
-Participate in live and recorded training opportunities
Supervision & Professional Support
-Attend group supervision with peers to process cases and share learning
-Participate in triadic supervision for more focused, individualized support
-Receive guidance in documentation, case conceptualization, and working within a community-based counseling setting
