Jessica is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee currently earning her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of San Francisco. Before entering the counseling profession, she worked as an EMT and in medical research, experiences that allowed her to witness the resilience people demonstrate during some of life’s most difficult moments. These experiences strengthened her passion for supporting others while recognizing the important connection between physical and mental well-being.
Â
As a first generation Mexican American and bilingual English and Spanish speaker, Jessica understands how culture, family values, and life experiences shape the way individuals view themselves and their relationships. She is committed to providing culturally responsive, strengths-based care where clients feel heard, understood, and respected.Â
Â
Jessica’s therapeutic approach is person centered and collaborative. She believes each individual is the expert on their own life and works alongside clients to identify their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful change. She has a special interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Jessica is passionate about helping clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward greater healing and well-being.Â
